    The Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Utilities (MIPU) aims to ensure the prosperity of all
    people of Vanuatu. It will provide the high-quality infrastructure and services needed to support
    the country’s economic and social development.

    Our mandates include:

        • Maintain and upgrade transport networks to serve all rural and urban communities
          through inclusive and effective partnerships
      • Implement safety and security systems in compliance with Vanuatu laws and international
        conventions
      • Provide leadership, governance and the necessary legal framework to ensure effective
        infrastructure development
      • Utilize resources and assets efficiently while adhering to principles of accountability and
        transparency
